Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Ethiopian FCPs Network platform. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Platform.

2. Definitions

"User" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Platform, including registered and unregistered users.

"Content" refers to any information, text, graphics, photos, videos, or other materials uploaded, downloaded, or appearing on the Platform.

"FCP" refers to a FCPs initiative registered on the Platform.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Platform, you may be required to register for an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and your organization. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to disable any user account if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we determine that your account information is inaccurate.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Using the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users
• Posting or sharing Content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or otherwise misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity
• Interfering with or disrupting the Platform or servers or networks connected to the Platform
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to parts of the Platform that are restricted

5. Content

You retain ownership of any Content you submit, post, or display on the Platform. By submitting, posting, or displaying Content on the Platform, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute such Content for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to the Content you submit, and that the Content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights or other rights of any third party.

We reserve the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms or that we determine is otherwise objectionable.

6. FCP Verification

FCPs registered on the Platform may be subject to verification to ensure they are legitimate youth development initiatives. We reserve the right to request additional information or documentation to verify a FCP's authenticity. All fcps on our platform work across multiple development programs.

FCPs that cannot be verified or that are found to be misrepresenting their activities may be removed from the Platform.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy, describes how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use the Platform. By using the Platform, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the Ethiopian Youth Development Network and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Platform or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the Ethiopian FCPs Network, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Platform.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use the Platform after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Platform.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ethiopia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
